City Break Packing List

Spring is all about embracing the change in seasons. Long days, lighter evenings and warmer weather are on the horizon and so are summer travel plans. Whether you're city hopping over the bank holidays, or spending a week (or more!) in warm climes further afield, our packing list is here to give you all the inspiration you need to take you from airport to arrivals, through days sightseeing and market mooching into balmy evening dinners.

Airport to Arrivals

Let us help you stay cool, calm and collected (without compromising on style) as you make your way through busy airports. If you have hold luggage with lots of space, opt for something comfortable that offers as much movement as possible like a relaxed pair of trousers (like our Hudson style) and a plain tee or soft joggers. For those taking a shorter trip, hand luggage space is valuable so wear something you can keep on for a late lunch or seeing the sights once you arrive, like a cotton dress with an easy waist. Our Nessa dress fits the bill perfectly and the drawstring waist can be left loose for a relaxed look while on the plane, then cinched in later to elevate. Plus the black colourway will hide a multitude of sins and spillages, especially if you're travelling with children!

Market Mooching

Spending the day exploring a new city requires a look that can go all day and take you through morning markets, al-fresco lunches and afternoon exploring. Floaty dresses and airy separates are key here in order to stay cool and comfortable in hot and humid environments. Easy dresses in cotton fabrications fit the bill perfectly and our Aspen dress is no exception. Cut from a beautifully light and drapey cotton viscose voile in two dreamy floral prints, it's the ultimate throw-on-and-look-great summer dress. Not into prints? No problem. Our brand new Nicole dress is crafted in organic cotton with delicate broderie anglais detail and features discreet side pockets (perfect for carrying your phone, keys and a card), pretty scallop hems and a drawstring waist that you can wear loose or cinched for a more defined look.

If dresses aren't your thing, opt for your favourite pair of denim shorts with a loose and airy blouse or a plain tee with a floaty skirt. Ideal for saving space in your luggage, they can be mix and matched over the course of the weekend - dressed up with a heel or down with a Birkenstock to adapt to your plans.

Crease-Free Heroes

Our high performance, luxury Japanese made fabric, Techni-Voile, is ideal for travel. In a multitude of flattering silhouettes and bright colour options, this fabric has become a Cefinn hero, featuring in our collections since 2017. The crisp material won't crease, meaning you'll look and feel put together from the start of the day until the end. It's also machine washable and requires little ironing so it's super easy to care for, just throw it in your case and go. A standout in the collection, the Sophia skirt features permanent box pleats and looks great with anything from a lightweight top, plain tee or cashmere knit.

Continuing our crease-resistant capsule are two new trouser silhouettes. Designed in our cool and clever Techni-Linen which has the appearance of its namesake but holds its shape and is less prone to creasing, they'll see you through a long weekend of activities and won't need to be ironed. Simply pull them out of your suitcase, give them a shake and put them on. We love them paired with our short sleeved Madison tee.

Easy Breezy Cotton

Cotton is the ultimate easy, breezy fabric for hot summer days. Breathable and light with machine washable ease, it's the perfect fabric to bring on a hot holiday. Our Summer 25 collect has this fabric in abundance - from denim to broderie anglais and seersucker!

Holiday Date-Night

Don't forget your holiday date night plans! Throw in one of our crease-free Techni Voile dresses for the ultimate ease. Want something even more special? Go for silk. It's naturally cool and breathable and will fold up small in your case.
